Shame Movie Review: Michael Fassbender Hypnotizes

0

Shame only concurs with what Movie Fanatic already believes: Michael Fassbender is one of the greatest actors working today. His performance in Shame is astounding and is like a cinematic earthquake of power, presence and brilliance. The film explores the taboo subject of sexual addiction, but it is truly about so much more as it also delves into family dynamics and how the scars left by parents may result in ongoing self-destruction by their children

Catch .44 Trailer: Bruce Willis’ Latest Action Thriller

0

In Catch .44 , Bruce Willis is almost unrecognizable. The film’s first trailer has arrived and in it, the action hero is made up to look quite a bit older than he really is, yet his character is no less fierce than he is in the bevy of gun-toting parts he’s portrayed in the past. Catch .44 Trailer Catch .44 also stars Malin Akerman, Nikki Reed ( Breaking Dawn ), Deborah Ann Woll and Forest Whitaker in a tale of criminal types where it appears everyone is backstabbing everyone else

Catherine Hicks on the 25th Anniversary of ‘Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home’

Filed under: Movie News It was Thanksgiving weekend, 1986. In the past, I had convinced my parents to take me to see the first three ‘Star Wars’ movies at the theater, but ‘Star Trek’ was another story all together. My father, particularly, hated science fiction — he even fell asleep during ‘Ghostbusters’ — so my pleas to see ‘Trek’ in a theater fell on deaf ears.

Caution – Dogs Not Safe! There’s supposedly a viral underway for Summit’s new sci-fi The Darkest Hour that involves warning signs found in real-life, similar to District 9 . I haven’t seen mention of these before today, so I’m not sure where they were displayed originally, but Summit has emailed us photos of all four of the signs they made. The Darkest Hour , starring Emile Hirsch and Olivia Thirlby , is about aliens made of electrical energy that can’t be seen unless they attack
