0“I challenge the brilliant mind of Edgar Allen Poe a game of wits…” Another new international trailer for James McTeigue’s The Raven , starring John Cusack as poet Edgar Allen Poe, debuted on TotalFilm (via Vlicious ). The first trailer for this period murder mystery hit during Comic-Con and was received with a bit of negativity, but I’m a fan of McTeigue and his style and I hope this turns out great anyway. Luke Evans also stars, along with Alice Eve and Brendan Gleeson

0They gave her no choice. Sometimes I love a good UK quad because they can utilize the space and design a lot differently in a horizontal way than vertical with most posters, and that’s certainly the case here

0Caution – Dogs Not Safe! There’s supposedly a viral underway for Summit’s new sci-fi The Darkest Hour that involves warning signs found in real-life, similar to District 9 . I haven’t seen mention of these before today, so I’m not sure where they were displayed originally, but Summit has emailed us photos of all four of the signs they made. The Darkest Hour , starring Emile Hirsch and Olivia Thirlby , is about aliens made of electrical energy that can’t be seen unless they attack

0This is what I’m talking about! I haven’t much liked the official posters, even this one , for Jason Reitman’s new film Young Adult , starring Charlize Theron ( trailer ) as a bitchy young adult novel writer who goes back to her hometown to find her high school sweetheart. The latest one released was just pitiful , so bad I didn’t even want to post it, but now we’ve got something to redeem it. Found by IMPAwards is a Japanese poster for the film, and I love the design.

0Joss Whedon Assemble! We just got a rather kick ass tease of new character artwork in the form of two big banners for Marvel’s The Avengers , now it’s time to get an updated from Whedon. Yahoo’s Movie Talk posted an interview with director Joss Whedon today, and it features quite a few quotes about Avengers , specifically, about crafting a few of the characters for the film, including how Iron Man/Tony Stark has progressed, updating Captain America , and how Nick Fury fits into everything too
